A Speedy Car is episode twelve of Season 6 of Postman Pat. It was first shown on Tuesday 14th October 2008 and written by Rebecca Stevens.
Summary[]
Today is Bill Thompson's birthday and a fancy dress party is being held at the Railway Station Cafe. Pat's special delivery is Bill's birthday present, a remote controlled car.
He also has to delivery Mrs. Goggins' TV remote to Ted's garage, so that Ted can fix it, but Julian gets the parcels for the two remotes mixed up and a car chase and telly trouble ensues. Meanwhile, Lizzy and Charlie are trying to keep Bill's birthday present a secret from him, which turns out to be easier said than done.

- Whether or not Bill Thompson’s party outfit was inspired by the real Australian racing driver with the same name is unknown.
Goofs[]
- The car and telly would not be able to pick up the signal of their remotes from such a long distance.
- At one point, Pat is driving PAT 1 instead of PAT 4.
- In close-ups of Pat, Jess and Julian inside PAT 4, Pat's hat keeps vanishing from his head.
