Postman Pat Wiki

Crazy Robots is the fourth episode of Postman Pat: Special Delivery Service and Season 6. It was first shown on Thursday 2nd October 2008 and was written by Joe Williams.

Plot[]

Postman Pat is delivering a package for P.C. Selby, which is a new helmet. Just then, Ben calls Pat, and explains him that the sorting machine is broken. He then tells Pat that Ted have something that can fix the problem, and asks Pat to go to Ted's Garage and pick it up.

At the garage, Ted reveals to Pat and Jess what his special delivery for Ben is: Two robots that can fix, repair and tidy up quickly. Ted shows his friends how they work; All you have to do is give them a task and they'll do it without complains. Pat thinks is good as long as the robots don't put him on the shelf. One of the robots takes his words seriously and picks him up to do so. Luckily, as soon as Pat tells it to put him down, it does. Before they drive off to the sorting office, Ted warns Pat to be careful about what he says, as the robots have very good hearing. Meanwhile at school, it is time to tidy up the classroom, much to the boys dismay and the girls delight.

On their way to the mail centre, Pat notices Jess' dirty paws and jokes that Jess could need a go in the carwash while cleaning up. Unfortunately, the robots overhear him and escape from the van, heading back to use Ted's carwash at the garage. At the same time, Amy asks Mrs. Goggins if the medicine she ordered for Pumpkin has arrived, but no packages have been received from the sorting office recently, so they both go to find out from Ben why the mail is delayed.

Pat and Jess have just met up with Ben at the sorting office, only to discover that both robots are vanished. Ted then calls Pat and informs him that the robots have both gone through his carwash and are now out of control. Pat realises that they must have overheard his comment and heads back to stop them from causing havoc.

Goofs[]

  • The robots open the back doors of the van from the inside even though there are clearly no doors on the inside. In fact the button one of them presses is on the outside.
  • When Pat is chasing the robots, Ted and P.C. Selby are frozen in place.
  • When Pat says "You're very welcome." to Dorothy, Ted's Lorry has moved back slightly.
  • P.C. Selby is wearing his old helmet when he, Pat and Ted are at the station in Pencaster even though he had packed it away in the box which his new one was delivered in at the beginning.
  • We first see Sara and Nisha at the market in Pencaster whilst the robots are causing havoc around the square before rushing onto the Pencaster Flyer at the station, but when the robots get off the train in Greendale, Sara and Nisha are suddenly there working in the station cafe.
  • Nisha and Sara are amused and disbelieving about the prospect of seeing robots in Greendale even though they just saw two back in Pencaster.
  • Nikhil is with Nisha and Sara in Greendale, but is not with them when they are previously in Pencaster.
  • Ben is standing outside the sorting office when Pat returns with the robots, but not in the previous shot.
  • Ted did not need to order the two robots as he had already invented two of his own of the exact same design in Postman Pat’s Great Big Party.
