Postman Pat and the Mystery Tour is the thirteenth episode of the second series which was broadcast on 23rd May 1998. It was written by John Cunliffe.

  • This episode marks the final appearances of Granny Dryden and Peter Fogg. However Peter Fogg makes a cameo appearance in Postman Pat and the Green Rabbit. This episode also marks the final appearances of Miss Hubbard and Major Forbes until Postman Pat: The Movie, although Miss Hubbard also makes a cameo appearance in Postman Pat and the Green Rabbit and in a Specsavers advert.
  • This is the third episode not to feature Pat's van and the last to do so until Postman Pat and the Go-Kart Race.
  • This is the first episode where all characters who have appeared speak.
  • The music at the end of the episode is the instrumental to the "Proper Sound" song from Postman Pat and the Tuba.

Goofs[]

  • Major Forbes' head is too big to fit inside the suit of armour's helmet.
  • When Pat and Sara clink their glasses together, there’s no sound effect the second time.
