Background Information[]
George Lancaster is a fictional character created by John Cunliffe. He is the farmer and owner of Intake Farm, along with his brother Wilf Lancaster.
George is an egg farmer who lives at Intake Farm. He is one of the few supporting characters in the first and second series. He mostly had minor roles in his appearances from the episodes and the specials, but had a significant role in the special episode, Postman Pat and the Toy Soldiers. However, from the third series until the eighth series, George, alongside some Woodland-era characters, were widely neglected for several years due to the stories focusing more on some supporting characters (mostly the child characters), and subsequently, Pat's involvement in the Special Delivery Service.
After he last appeared in an episode in 1996 and had a name cameo in 2003, George had not made a physical apperance for 18 years. It would not be until 2014 that he made a returning appearance in the film, Postman Pat: The Movie. In the film, he is voiced by Jacob Witkin.
