PAT 9 is the second aircraft owned by the SDS, used as a cargo aircraft.
Technical Details[]
The SDS Plane is the only jet aircraft that the SDS owns in their fleet of vehicles. Unlike the real life Royal Mail aircraft, the SDS Plane works as a VTOL (Vertical take off and landing) cargo aircraft.
Basis[]
The aircraft is of freelance design. However, some design cues are taken from small cargo aircraft like the Antonov An-72/An-74 (particularly on the fuselage) or Boeing 737 cargo aircraft.
Livery[]
It is painted in a solid red colour, similar to the Royal Mail aircraft operated by ParcelForce and Titan Airways, but with white lining
Usage[]
Pat used this aircraft to carry the Old Betty steam engine due to the SDS Helicopter lacking any space to hold heavier loads. He has also used it to make deliveries outside of England.
