Summary[]
Pat's van runs out of petrol in the Mazy Way between Greendale and Pencaster, so he has to send Alf's racing pigeon, Cedric to get help.

- This is the first episode not to feature Archie Panjabi since she joined the cast in Postman Pat and the Greendale Rocket.
- The original Woodland Animations PAT 1 model is used at the river in the middle of the open country set where Pat, Jess and Cedric get stuck.
- When Julian asks if he can stay up, Pat’s cough sweets from Postman Pat's Foggy Day can be seen on the table.

Goofs[]
- Alf says his tractor cannot go over the hill to Pencaster even though that is what tractors are built for.
- After Pat has pulled over by the river, his van's rear number plate is missing.
- When Pat says, “Some twine from my post bags for the line”, his lips aren’t moving.
- When Ajay races to find Pat during the day, the can of petrol is not on the back of his motorbike.
