Postman Pat and the Fancy Dress Party is the seventeenth episode of the fourth series of Postman Pat.

Plot[]

It is the day of the annual school party and everyone is getting ready.

P.C. Selby is going to the dance with Doctor Gilbertson, but he needs to help Alf Thompson with his sheep and his car breaks down on the way to the Doctor's house.

Meanwhile Lucy Selby is trying to find a costume for the party but nothing seems suitable. Eventually Pat and Sara help her to make one just in time for the party and Pat gives her a special VIP's escort to the school in Doctor Gilbertson's car.

  • Going by production order, this is the seventeenth episode of the fourth season.
  • The instrumental to the "Put on a Show" song from Postman Pat Clowns Around plays during this episode.
  • The disco party music is the same music from Postman Pat the Magician.

Goofs[]

  • Sara says "Where did all the thread go?" without moving her lips.
  • Jess does not accompany Pat when he leaves his house, but they are later seen together in the post office and in the van when Pat arrives at the school and passes P.C. Selby before his panda car breaks down.
  • Throughout the episode, the amount of hair on P.C. Selby's moustache keeps changing.
  • P.C. Selby says he is going to change for party, but instead just goes as he is with his uniform still covered in grass and flowers.
