Julian and Charlie trick the village folk into thinking that Jess can talk.

  • Bill's radio control model aeroplane and remote from Postman Pat's Rainy Day, the toy trumpet from Postman Pat and the Mystery Tour and the goblins' magic ball from the "Noddy's Toyland Adventures" episode "Noddy and the Bouncing Ball" are amongst the other stuff for Julian's show and tell at school.
  • The clay tin from Postman Pat Misses the Show, the chair of the postal scooter from Postman Pat Has Too Many Parcels, the television set from "Gran" and two Spottiswood & Company crates from "Bertha" can be seen in Ted's Mill. The air tank from the “Bertha” episode “Tom’s new friend” can also be seen. Outside the mill is the watering can from Postman Pat’s Thirsty Day.
  • When Pat is tricking Julian and Charlie at the end, he uses a voice similar to Granny Dryden’s.
  • Jess would soon later be able to talk in the Postman Pat spin-off series "Guess with Jess".

Goofs[]

  • Every time we see PAT 1 outside Pat's house, its numberplate is missing.
  • Jess is not in the van when Pat gives Doctor Gilbertson her mail.
  • Pat says "Taa-daa" without moving his lips.
  • When Pat leaves the church, you can see the end of the Reverend's wrist.
  • At the school, you can see the end of Julian's neck.
