The Robot Postman was an invention Ted invented to help give Pat a rest.
Biography[]
The Robot was programmed by the computer and was used to help deliver the post for Pat. Unfortunately, it was programmed wrongly and it caused trouble in the village, by giving the townsfolk of Greendale the wrong letters, bursting through George and his wife's house, caused Sam's Mobile Shop to get involved in a road accident, disturbing the chickens and bursting through Dorothy's washing line at Thompson Ground. It came to a stop when it got stuck in the field. Alf decided to leave it as it is, as it made a grand scarecrow and could be used to scare the crows off.

- Some of the sounds that the robot postman makes are the same ones that T.O.M. makes in one of Woodland Animations' other shows "Bertha".
- One of the sound effects the robot postman is making is the same one the suit of armour made in Postman Pat and the Suit of Armour.
- After Woodland Animations Ltd was sold to Entertainment Rights, the robot postman's model was brought to Cosgrove Hall Films along with the rest of the Woodland Animations models and puppets from Postman Pat. It was not used in any of the episodes animated by Cosgrove Hall Films, and remained on the shelves in one of the workshops until the studio closed down in 2009. It is currently unknown what happened to the model after this.
